1. Introduction

At Jaicom Enterprises, we ensure that all products we sell are authentic and of the highest quality. This warranty policy explains the coverage provided for your purchase, how to make a claim, and what is excluded. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined here.

2. Warranty coverage

All products sold by Jaicom Enterprises come with a manufacturer’s warranty unless stated otherwise. The duration and terms vary by brand and product type. Typical warranty periods are:

  • Smartphones & tablets: 12 months
  • Wearables (smartwatches, fitness bands): 6–12 months
  • Kitchen appliances: 12–24 months depending on brand
  • Accessories (chargers, cables, cases): 3–6 months

The specific warranty period for your product is indicated on the original packaging and/or the receipt. Please retain both for any claims.

3. What the warranty covers

The manufacturer’s warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This includes:

  • Hardware failures not caused by physical damage
  • Faulty components or assembly
  • Battery defects (within the warranty period)
  • Software issues pre‑installed by the manufacturer

4. What is not covered

The warranty does not cover damage or issues caused by:

  • Accidental damage, drops, liquids, or physical abuse
  • Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or tampering
  • Normal wear and tear (scratches, cosmetic blemishes)
  • Improper use, neglect, or failure to follow instructions
  • Third‑party accessories or software
  • Lost or stolen devices
  • Battery degradation over time (unless a defect is present)

5. How to make a warranty claim

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us within the warranty period via phone/WhatsApp or email with your order details and a description of the issue.
  2. Provide photos or videos clearly showing the defect, if possible.
  3. Bring the product to our store at Dhanjay Apartments, Floor 3, Hendred Ave, Nairobi along with the original receipt and all accessories.
  4. If you are outside Nairobi, we may arrange for inspection via courier – please contact us first for instructions.

6. Warranty claim process

Once we receive your product:

  1. We will inspect it to verify the defect and determine if it is covered under warranty.
  2. If approved, we will facilitate a repair or replacement according to the manufacturer’s policy. This may involve sending the device to an authorised service centre.
  3. Turnaround time varies by brand and issue – typically 7–21 business days. We will keep you updated.
  4. If the product cannot be repaired or replaced, a refund or store credit may be issued at our discretion.

7. Replacement units

If a replacement is issued, it may be a new or factory‑refurbished unit of the same model. The original warranty period does not reset; the remaining warranty period transfers to the replacement unit.

8. Extended warranty & protection plans

Some products may be eligible for extended warranty or accidental damage protection plans. Please ask in-store or check product pages for availability. These plans are optional and come with separate terms provided at the time of purchase.

9. Proof of purchase

Always keep your original receipt or order confirmation email. Warranty claims will not be processed without valid proof of purchase showing the date of sale and product details.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jaicom Enterprises’ liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use or failure.
